Carlsbad Country Day School

Carlsbad Country Day School opened around October 2006 and the word has spread about the high-tech, clean and spacious environment. This school is open to children from age six weeks to six years. They believe that play is the primary vehicle for children's learning and development in the early years. Furthermore, continuity of care (meaning the same teacher throughout the years at school) facilitates emotional development. To provide peace of mind, parents are able to monitor their child through the school's secure kiddie cam system. Other added benefits at the school are enrichment programs, healthy lunch and snacks, family take home dinners, and dry cleaning drop-off. Firenze

Firenze is an Italian restaurant located in Encinitas. It has a great, romantic, outdoor dining space with a beautiful fountain. The food is fabulous and there is a nice variety to the menu. Vigilucci's

The Vigilucci's Trattoria Italiana in Encinitas is by far my favorite out of the 6 restaurants owned by Roberto Vigilucci. The atmosphere is quaint and the staff is friendly. The service is wonderful and I highly recommend the Mezzelune d'Aragosta, ravioli filled with lobster and sautéed in in a rock shrimp cognac cream sauce. Absolutely sensational!
